- The meeting will be chaired by Spain's minister for Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Elena Espinosa. The Council will hold an exchange of views on: - The future of the Common Agricultural Policy as regards market management measures after 2013; - Options for animal welfare labelling and the establishment of a European Network of Reference Centres cor the potection and welfare of animals; - a request by the Italian government to authorise italy to grant stable aid for the purchase of agricultural land between 2010 and 2013.
A press conference will take place at the end of the council meeting.
